  1. At the end of a year, it is customary to celebrate the progress made and affirm to strengthen any weak areas. So what am I celebrating after our first “official” year of reactivation? I am very thankful for the bonds of sisterhood that stretch over decades, for the commitment to this bond that others have when they may drive from out of the county to meet, for the laughter shared at each and every meeting, for the concern shown our sisters who were in difficult spots either emotionally, physically or geographically, for the promise of an even better year in our future, and for a new year’s calendar made with input from a solid core of committed sisters.

I want to thank everyone for all you have done this year—from setting up/ cooking for a Cajun dinner, coming to the meetings when your schedule was full with other commitments, remembering the animals at our local shelter, walking for arthritis, or just (and most importantly) being a sister.

Keep an eye out for our new schedule for activities and meetings! It is fantastic.
